New Edge Contractors Expands Leadership Team to Support Continued Growth

New Edge Contractors has expanded its leadership team to strengthen the organizational capacity behind continued growth across its two disciplines: Construction Management and Resource Management.

The transition formalizes the executive responsibilities of co-founders Mike Clay and John Wiegand. Clay has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, providing enterprise leadership, long-term strategic direction, and accountability for the company’s organizational growth. Wiegand has assumed the role of Chief Development Officer, leading development strategy, client relationships, market expansion, and new business opportunities.

The new structure is designed to create clearer responsibility across enterprise strategy, business development, operations, field execution, and project delivery. It positions the founders to focus on the direction and development of the company while an expanded leadership team strengthens the systems and oversight required to support clients and projects across New Edge’s growing national footprint.

Terry Edmondson has joined New Edge as President. In this role, he will lead company-wide operational strategy and organizational performance, helping align the company’s people, processes, and resources around consistent execution.

Eric Tievy has joined as Executive Vice President of Operations. He will oversee operational systems, construction processes, and project execution across both Construction Management and Resource Management. His role will focus on strengthening the operating discipline required to support New Edge’s continued growth.

Edward Clay has joined New Edge as Vice President of Field Operations. He will provide field leadership across active project sites, supporting consistent execution and accountability in the conditions that determine project performance.

New Edge has also promoted Ashly Lawson to Director of Project Management. Lawson previously led the company’s mixed-use development work. In her new company-wide role, she will help establish and reinforce project-delivery standards, project-management practices, and best practices across business units and market sectors.

The leadership expansion reinforces the company’s operating model: two disciplines, one accountable team. Construction Management delivers projects directly through CM and GC contracts. Resource Management provides embedded talent, labor oversight, logistics, and site coordination for active construction environments.

Both disciplines serve different client needs, but they operate from the same expectation: every project is run with construction-management discipline and an owner’s mindset, regardless of contract type. “Our next phase of growth requires us to build the capacity to lead well at every level,” said John Wiegand, Chief Development Officer. “We are not just ready for what’s next.
