O Corpo de Bombeiros da cidade de Cambridge, em parceria com a WHP Trainingtowers e a Triumph Modular, concluiu a construção das instalações personalizadas de treinamento modular Modx Modular, adjacentes ao Quartel de Bombeiros nº 3. Este edifício auxiliar de três andares e 960 pés quadrados, fabricado em aço galvanizado, foi projetado para simulações realistas de incêndio, com componentes substituíveis para resistir ao uso intenso. Para combinar com a estética do quartel existente, a estrutura foi revestida com tijolos aparentes.

Uma característica fundamental das novas instalações é o plano de piso aberto. Este layout não estático elimina a necessidade de paredes interiores e permite ao corpo de bombeiros reconfigurar o espaço para uma variedade de exercícios de treinamento, maximizando a flexibilidade e o realismo. Além disso, o edifício está equipado com linhas de rapel, permitindo aos formandos praticar a descida ou subida da estrutura durante os exercícios.

O local urbano apresentava desafios significativos, incluindo espaço limitado, fios elétricos baixos e um quartel de bombeiros em atividade nas proximidades. A Triumph Modular superou esses obstáculos planejando cuidadosamente quatro entregas em fases após as 8h da manhã e usando um manipulador telescópico em vez de um guindaste para posicionar os módulos. A fundação de laje de concreto foi projetada para suportar as cargas dinâmicas dos exercícios de treinamento de combate a incêndios, garantindo durabilidade a longo prazo.

A montagem exigiu precisão e atenção aos detalhes, pois este era o primeiro projeto desse tipo da Triumph Modular. As instalações no local incluíram escadas, elementos do telhado e tubos de água para simulações de combate a incêndios. O Corpo de Bombeiros de Cambridge trabalhou em estreita colaboração com a equipe durante as inspeções e aprovações do projeto para garantir que as instalações atendessem às suas necessidades.

Apesar dos desafios, o projeto atendeu às expectativas do cliente. As novas instalações proporcionam aos bombeiros um ambiente de treinamento durável e realista, ao mesmo tempo em que demonstram como a construção modular pode oferecer soluções inovadoras em ambientes urbanos.
