Os Prêmios de Distinção da MBI são apresentados anualmente, tradicionalmente na última noite de sua conferência e feira comercial North American World of Modular. Os prêmios deste ano foram apresentados em diversas categorias, incluindo vários para projetos de construção modular permanente e edifícios realocáveis. A excelência em construção modular "verde" e marketing também foi reconhecida.
Além desses prêmios, as honras de Best of Show foram concedidas a alguns projetos que receberam o maior número de votos dos participantes do World of Modular. Por fim, o prêmio Judges' Choice Award foi concedido ao projeto que obteve o maior número de pontos disponíveis dos juízes do concurso.
