O desafio

A Universidade Estadual da Virgínia em Ettrick, Virgínia, teve uma turma de calouros maior do que o normal para o outono de 2023. As regras da universidade exigem que todos os calouros e alunos do segundo ano morem em alojamentos no campus, portanto, o maior número de matrículas levou à necessidade de mais alojamentos para estudantes a tempo do início do ano letivo. A Modular Genius, Inc. foi contratada no início da primavera para fornecer dormitórios modulares temporários para 268 alunos usando um contrato estadual baseado em um aluguel de 24 meses.

A solução

A Modular Genius, Inc. projetou e construiu três complexos de dormitórios modulares temporários com 134 dormitórios, totalizando 49.632 pés quadrados. Todos os três dormitórios modulares possuem uma lavanderia compartilhada, cozinha e área de estar, chuveiros e banheiros para os residentes. Cada prédio de dormitório temporário também inclui uma sala de sprinklers, um armário de TI e um armário para o zelador. Os dormitórios modulares foram projetados para atender aos requisitos do código residencial do estado da Virgínia, com sistemas de sprinklers e detectores de fumaça instalados pela Modular Genius.
